i wondered the same thing when i heard about RedHat 5.9 (starbuck), but it
is kind of a 6.0pre-release...  seemed pretty stable (as long as you don't
do stupid things like i did! : ^ )  the new kerneld was pretty sweet, and
there's a lot of really nice enhancements...  try it out if you want...
it's not (last i checked) on all the mirrors, but i've found a number of
them that do...  one fast mirror i used for starbuck was something that
started w/ sod.res (can't remember the rest of the address...  check the
www.redhat.com/mirrors.html page)
