ok, what is the best way to upgrade... let's say gkt+? right now, i
have the rpm's for gtk+1.0.6 (for gimp, and other progs that don't
support the devel ver yet), and gtk+-1.1.2 via tarballs. i noticed
earlier (before i really f-ed up my gtk stuff... don't ask : ^ ) that i
had a libgtk-1.1.so.2, libgtk-1.0.so.6, and a libgtk-1.1.so.3 file in my
/usr/local/lib. is this normal, or do i need to do a 'make uninstall'
with the old version? i decided (idiotically) "oh, i'll just get rid of
the old devel version"... STUPID... i guess gnome-0.30-1 was complied
w/ 1.1.2 (oops!). anyway, after a lot of work, i got it back up and
running, but i still have a v1.1.5 file in there (even tho' i'm sure i
did a 'make clean' 'make uninstall'.). can gnome-0.30 be re-compiled
with 1.1.5? or should i have a number of different versions of gtk? is
that good / bad / ugly?
any suggestions are VERY welcome... right now, i'm working on getting
glib-1.1.4 and GtkSTeP-1.1.3 installed.. no offence to anyone who like
it, but i don't like the "standard" gtk+ look. i really like this
NeXTSTeP look (that i lost, due to my stupidity, of course! : ^ )
