[aclug-L] starting x

i'm trying to remember an alternate method for starting X.

i read it on one of my emails.

i thought it was aclug but i could not find it in the archives.


the idea was to boot to a text based login and then startx using the .profile

but i can't remember the details


if any one remembers it do you remember the month or title?

i've slept since then.
