        The easiest way to deal with MSDOS formatted floppies is to use
the mtools package, which allows a user to format floppies, copy LINUX
files back and forth to DOS formatted floppies, etc.    To mount a floppy
with a DOS filesystem on it, you might try something like:
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt
(I think this is right, although I haven't done this in a while).
