Personal attacks, spamming, and the like are not permitted on ACLUG-L.
This person has been banned from ACLUG lists -- he obviously intended
to either slander or sabatoge ACLUG or others. Rest assured that
ACLUG lists always have been, and always will be, a safe and polite
place for anyone interested in Linux to exchange ideas and
information. It is unfortunate that the policy of open subscription
and immediate posting privileges to this list has been abused; I shall
have to consider modifying this policy in the future. Your comments
are, as always, welcome.

It is unfortunate to see this come right at the time when the
popularity of ACLUG-L is really beginning to take off; we've got a lot
of excellent discussion lately. Sound, printers, installations,
etc. are all great topics here and I am tremendously excited about the
success of our Free Linux Install event Monday!

Regards,
John Goerzen

PS... If you want details on why this person picked us as a target, I
really don't know. There are some strange, confused, and mean people
out there on the Internet just as there are in real life. In this
case, he may be attempting to get personal revenge at me -- he
publicly tried to slander me on Usenet, and I demonstrated his
accusations to be false. I don't mind dealing with these people
myself (and have done so in the past), but I react very strongly when
they attempt to hurt ACLUG -- this will never be tolerated.
