i'm trying to learn to set up an ip masquarade at home.
i recompiled the kernel to support it.
i installed the rpm's that contains ipchains and it is now in /sbin.

but i still get

[root@kansas phrostie]# ipchains -P forward DENY
ipchains: Protocol not available

did i not do the kernel right?
do i need to config something?

suggestions please?
