James Lancaster requested that this announcement be made for the PVR group:

This Saturday, the ACLUG Personal Video Recorder Group will be installing the
software on their PVR, It will be held in 116 Neff Hall, and will be starting
at 2pm. We ask that you get there as early as possible, because some of the
steps can take a while, and that you sign up (people who have signed up get
priority) by sending an email with their config (prefered distro, and basic
compute specs) to pvr-sig@xxxxxxxxx.

Requirements for Installation:
1.Select one of Gentoo, Fedora, Debian
2.A TV Tuner: of types talked about at meetings, installed. 
(Preferably bttv or ivtv based, others may or may not work.)
3.A computer that is either pre-partitioned, or ready to partition, with no
requirement to preserve partitions currently on there. The computer must be
faster than 400MHz, at a minimum with at least 128MB RAM and at least a 10GB
Hard Drive. (If you have a computer that is slow, please install your
4.If using Gentoo, have installed certain packages (listed on a seperate sheet)
5.Checked that the compuer will boot up and works.

If Using Gentoo:
1.Have emerged the system.
2.Have emerged & configured Xfree86.
3.Have emerged Qt with the mysql USE flag.
4.Have emerged Mythtv
