These three examples doesn't serve as civil war nations though: their 
flags are too similar to their successor states (Serbia&Montenegro, 
Czech Republic, Germany).

A good civil war nation should have a really distinct flag: USA-CSA, 
South Korea-North Korea, North Vietnam-South Vietnam etc.
