Here is a fourth one.

If I have accepted to *get* shared vision at any time, I can never release
it willingly any later.

That player/AI may have shared vision with other players later, so it can
end up that I see units moving on half of a big world and I feel quite
spammed with it. A modem player may get real problems.

Being this mainly a client problem - to filter the things that happen before
they are presented on the screen - I see no reason why I can not deliberately
waive the shared vision another player has granted to me.
