Hello.

I've submitted a sound patch to run against the cvs snapshot
from Oct 16. It's at

ftp://ftp.freeciv.org/pub/freeciv/incoming/sound_patch.gz

It uses the sndlib package which can be found at

http://ccrma-www.stanford.edu/CCRMA/Software/sndlib/

And expects the sndlib to be installed as a shared library at

/usr/local/lib/sndlib.so

It expects some sound files in data/sounds, the particular ones listed
in data/sounds.ruleset, and should take a varied range of sound inputs.

Right now it only plays sounds for moving, and attacking, but
more could be added without huge amounts of work.

what do you think?
joe
